The building is currently unoccupied and in disrepair, but for us it was interesting to see the old decoration and paintings that have survived and the state of the building style after many years of neglect.

Xizhou's Old Town Hall

After the market, we stopped into the old Xizhou Town Hall. The building, again a traditional Bai courtyard home, was built in the late 1940s by a man who made his fortune selling scrap metal from downed World War II airplanes.
