The Bottom Line
- They've thought of everything you might possibly need or want, right down to games in the rooms.
- Truly fashionable and hip - stay here and you join the beautiful people.
- Perfect little hideaway in the heart of Shanghai's fashionable Nanjing Road shopping district.
- Help-yourself lounge, relax with a drink, socialize with other guests over tea.
- Wireless everywhere - Yay! Someone finally gets it.
- Continental breakfast a tad disappointing, especially when everything else is so fabulous.

Guide Review - JIA Shanghai Review
The lobby is cool and hip yet has elements of charm such as the hand-thrown ceramics adorning a funky side table. And "room" is too mundane a word to describe the quarters JIA has designed for its guests. They've left you wanting nothing (except an iPod dock). The mini-fridge is stocked with all the usuals but with a welcome addition: milk. Hey, Im a mom. This impresses me. The slippers? Where were the slippers? I had to do a major exploration to discover them but oh, the treasures I found along the way:
- Fully stocked bar (big bottles) with martini glasses, a decanter, bar tools and, oh my, shot glasses,
- A full set of dishes and a French press,
- Scissors! (How many times have you needed these and not had them?)
- Games including monopoly and Chinese checkers,
- A smile kit (toothbrush and toothpaste, ok, thats not so unique but I love the name),
- A little box with every wire a techie would ever want,
- Cute little notepads tucked everywhere, perfect for that shopping list or line of poetry,
- Excellent in-room directory including an AV operating guide and a reminder that if you get bored, you can ask for a Nintendo Wii from Guest Services.
All through dinner downstairs at delicious Issimo, the celebrated in-house Italian restaurant, I couldn't wait to get back to my room. The sheet thread count alone is enough to make even the most avid tourist stay in bed.
After a good night's sleep (aided by that Italian red) and a quick workout in their Techno gym, I had a bite in the lounge and then I was off to do some shopping. All in all, a fabulous experience. I wished I had another night.
