Taipan Foot Massage is a spa that specializes in foot massage but also offers other types. It is a rather large space on the second floor (entry at street level) and its dark inside passages seem to go on for miles. Located on a small street in downtown Puxi, it's a great stop after a long day of shopping or sight-seeing.

You can read my blog post about my visit to Taipan Massage with my five-year-old son but believe me, I've been back many times since. Taipan is great because
- You book a private room so the best way to enjoy is to go with your family, partner or friends.
- Snacks and drinks are included in the price of your treatment so enjoy tea, juice and weird snacks ordered by simply pushing the little buzzer next to your chair.
- Each private room has a flat-screen TV and DVD so you can bring your own or ask for their DVD menu to enjoy a movie while you get your feet massaged (most massages are at least 90 minutes long).
- Add on therapies include a "pedicure", so you can watch your toenails being expertly cut with a straight razor.
