Description:
A hole in the wall that serves great Shanghai cuisine all day and all night. It’s nothing fancy but you’ll rub shoulders with locals and expats alike.
Address:
Bao Luo is located at 271 Fumin Road near Changle Road.
Neighborhood:
French Concession
Cuisine:
Shanghainese
Price:
Inexpensive
Hours of Operation:
Daily Lunch until very late
Guide Comments:
  • Go at off hours, for example 3pm for lunch or 9pm for dinner. Otherwise, you’ll have to stand in line with the rest of us. It’s open very late, so if you’re in the neighborhood bar hopping at People 7 or Manifesto, stop in for dumplings at midnight.
  • Bring cash (you won't need a lot) because they don't take cards.
