2007 Holiday Schedule

The embassy and consulates are closed for all US holidays as well as official Chinese holidays. Below is the list for 2007.
  • January 1, (Mon) New Year's Day
  • January 15, (Mon) Martin Luther King, Jr's Birthday
  • February 19, 20, 21, (Mon, Tue, Wed) Lunar New Year
  • February 19, (Mon) Washington's Birthday
  • May 1, 2, 3, (Tue, Wed, Thu) International Labor Day
  • May 28, (Mon) Memorial Day
  • July 4, (Wed) Independence Day
  • September 4, (Mon) Labor Day
  • October 1, 2, 3, (Mon, Tue, Wed) Chinese National Day
  • October 8, (Mon) Columbus Day
  • November 12, (Mon) Veterans' Day
  • November 22, (Thu) Thanksgiving Day
  • December 25, (Tue) Christmas Day

In Case of Emergency

All US Citizen Services offices (there is an office associated with the embassy as well as each consulate) have individual emergency numbers to call during times when you can't physically go to the office or it is closed.

  • Guangzhou: 020 8121 6077
  • Shenyang: 1370 988 9307

Note: Phone numbers are listed for domestic (China) dialing. If calling from outside China, add the international dial code, China's country code (86), drop the first zero, then dial. For example, if calling the Beijing listing from the US, the number would be 011-86-10-6532-1910.
