Emperor Qin Shi Huangdi united China after the Warring States Period and in the short time he reigned managed to construct two of Chinas most famous historic monuments (at the cost of thousands of lives). His tomb, now called the Qin Shi Huang Terracotta Warriors & Horses Museum is on most visitors itineraries and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
