More Taxis in Pudong!
Saturday November 1, 2008
Did you happen to read my blog post How to Take a Subway in China in September? Well, if you did, you might have noted the seed of irritation from which that article was born: the fact that I couldn’t get a taxi home at 9:30pm on a seemingly normal Thursday night. And while I am a whole-hearted advocate of public transportation, especially the neat, clean and speedy metro, I was terribly pleased to read in the Shanghai Daily that a Shanghai taxi company has agreed with the Super Brand Mall to help resolve the problem by sending “out dispatchers and management at the mall from 7pm to 10:30pm to ensure supply meets demand”.
It’s always nice to know someone’s actually working to fix things.
