Quick, Before It’s Too Cold! Get out to the Sheshan Sculpture Park and Le Meridien Sheshan

Tuesday October 7, 2008
As I mentioned, we decided to make a break from Shanghai over the October Holidays and enjoy the Sheshan Scuplture Park as well as check out Le Meridien Sheshan, the hotel that sits across from the park and lends itself to an overnight excursion from Shanghai.

The whole trip was fantastic. Even with holiday traffic, it only took us about an hour to arrive at the park. The kids had a blast stripping down and playing on the faux beach, running around in the wading pools and jumping on the enormous mountain-trampoline.

Exhausted, we retired to a lovely stay in Le Meridien Sheshan which has tailored itself to families with kids. Large comfortable rooms, a decent buffet over-run with families, a beach, indoor and outdoor pools, sand pit and playground, we were glad we requested late check-out so we could enjoy the facilities. Head out to Sheshan for the weekend before it gets too cold!
