New Boutique Hotels in Shanghai

The boutique hotel is still a new concept and has only arrived on the Shanghai accommodation scene in the last twelve months or so. There aren’t a lot of choices and it remains to be seen whether these hotels will weather the stiff competition for luxury accommodation with the many international five-star properties within Shanghai’s luxury hotel market.

But discerning travelers prefer the smaller, smarter, more personal nature of boutique hotels and those who do, finally have a choice of four properties in Shanghai. Should you decide that small is nice, but these boutique hotels aren’t in your budget, worry not. There are some great choices in budget accommodation (sans dormitory beds) in Shanghai as well.
